Donations
Help out in fulfilling the mission of creating new tutorials reviews and promoting the art of knitting to both men and women and encouraging more men to knit.
Donations will be used to add more knitting tools and yarns to review. keeping reviews unbiased and non paid is important insuring a fair review of products as well as introducing new tools.
I am also trying to put together a project that will teach the youth within the more impoverished barrios (neighborhoods) in Medellín, Colombia the art of knitting. Bringing needles and yarn to these barrios and teaching the kids a skill that they can use to create wearable or sellable items. Giving them a creative outlet helps the kids in their start of life that will hopefully promote a desire to learn new skills and advance in life.

I have been active with another project suppling kids with christmas gifts. The kids get to experience the joy of a holiday dessert called natilla and a christmas gift. Natilla is a Colombian desert custard. It has a rich Carmel flavor similar to dulce de leche but is thickened with cornstarch instead of cooking down milk. We serve this to the families as well as buñuelos which is is a Yuca flour bread bal with cheese that is deep fried and considered to bring good luck when eaten at Christmas and New Years.

Households here in many times don't have the resources to provide the children with these few basic items for the holidays and we try to help, donating gifts and food that we purchase ourselves. The knitting project would be an extension of this project servicing the same barrios, if you want to donate to the christmas project specifically, please add a note in your donation or contact me via email. If you would like to make a larger donation for this contact me about other forms of making the donation. Last Christmas we helped 140 families. This year we would love to help more.
